Anime Saint Louis - A fine time?

I went to Anime Saint Louis april 23-25 and, for starters, I will just say this about it: It was more fun than the only other anime convention I have been to.

The location, for one thing, was much better. Not having to drive 8 hours and then get a hotel reduced a ton of the extra needless cost to the experience. Instead, I stayed at a friend's place who lives nearby the venue and just drove over each day.

There were quite a few cosplaying people at the convention (as would be expected) I threw up what pictures a friend of mine took over here. Some of them are pretty good, I guess. I'm probably way too over critical of most of them! At least the people were having fun!

There really isn't too much to say about the convention since most of it was fairly typical stuff; anime fan panels that aren't very informative, shipping panels that are a little painful, video rooms that don't show enough of the good stuff and way too much of the stuff it shouldn't, guest panels that are sometimes cringe-worthy, etc.

HIGHLIGHTS: Gundam panels, Fighting Games panel, Red Cliff, Gunbuster, 2x2 = Shinobuden, Tornado warning causing mass panic.

All-in-all, I look forward to wasting another weekend next year at this, since I plan to NEVER grow up.
